Goa:

This former Portuguese colony is (one of) the most popular beach destinations from India. It is well known for the endless white beaches. Goa attracts at least 2 million tourists every year. Below a few reasons why this region is so popular

  • The old city Goa shows the historical links with Portugal. In this small village you find the well preserved ancient monasteries, churches and cathedrals. Because of the Beauty of it, its listed on the UNESCO world heritage.
  • The Dudhsagar waterfalls are for sure well worth to visit. They are very good accessible by jeep, foot or train. Especially in the rainy season the waterfalls are spectacular to see. Afterwards it’s just a 15 minute walk to the Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary.
  • The water of the Arabian Sea is perfect for different kinds of water sports. Kayaking, surfing or swimming are a few possibilities. It’s also possible to see dolphins in the water near Goa.

 

Kerala:

You find Kerala in the deep south east of India. The Kerala area offers a few old little villages. Other then the rest of India, relaxation is very common here. It is not as attractive as Goa for tourists but there is perfect for the ones who don’t like it as busy. Below a few must sees

  • The Munnar tea fields are a photogenic place. As far as you can look, there are tea fields. you can walk or bicycle tour thru the woods, deep valleys and impressive waterfalls. It’s a beautiful place to find your well deserved peace
  • The Backwaters of Kerala are a series of canals as long as 900 kilometers. It’s recommended to take a tour on the canals on one of the houseboats. These boats are used to transport rice and herbs. Enjoy the stunning nature and experience the daily life of the inhabitants.

Tamil Nadu:
